Meet our team
Kevin Williams
Kevin has been a member of the CJRAL for over 20 years. He is an NRA certified instructor for Rifle, Pistol and Home Firearms Safety. He holds Instructor certifications both Semi-Auto Pistol and Patrol Rifle Instructor from the SIG Academy, where he worked for 9 years as an adjunct Instructor. He spent 15 years as a Senior Firearms Instructor for a federal law enforcement agency where he earned his Instructor certifications for rifle, pistol, shotgun, active shooter response and close quarters battle. He currently works as a part time instructor for White Birch Armory. Kevin volunteers as a Hunter Ed Instructor for the State of NH. Kevin is national registry certified EMT and is a First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor with the American Red Cross. He is a 4H level 2 Instructor for Rifle and Pistol and maintains level 1 Instructor for Archery and Shotgun.
Abigail Bellemore
Abigail is the Administrator Secretary for the CJRAL and has been a member for 4 years. Abigail is a full-time homeschool mom during the week and a Private Duty Care Giver on the weekends. Abigail has been in the medical field for over 20 years in one form or another as an EMT, First Aid/CPR/AED, Phlebotomy Level 2, several certifications for emergency care. Abigail has an Associates degree in Science. Abigail is a 4H level 1 Instructor for Shotgun and Archery.
Sara Gates
Sara has been with the team for the last three years. Sara has been a Boy Scout leader since 2017, and been the program coordinator for Raymond/ Fremont End 68 Hours of Hunger since she helped to open the branch in 2015. Sara is also a NH licensed special education and advanced emotional behavioral disabilities teacher. Sara currently works for Job’s for America’s Graduates (JAG-NH) teaching life and career skills to high school students to prepare them for life after high school. Sarah is a level 1 Rifle and Pistol Instructor and is an NRA certified Range Safety Officer and Rifle Instructor. Sara currently grades the targets for the Marksmanship Program.
Bob Lehmenkuler
Bob joined 4H shooting sports shortly after joining the Chester Rod and Gun Club. Bob is a retired middle school teacher and brings that experience to the CJRAL. Currently, Bob holds 4H Level 1 archery and rifle instructor certificates. Bob is also a certified Range Safety Officer. Bob has passion for teaching kids and especially for teaching the art of Archery.
Chuck Armstrong
Chuck is the club Financial Officer and is a 4H level 1 Rifle, Pistol and Archery Instructor.
Michael Load
Michael has been with Chester Rod and Gun Club since 2020 and has been an instructor with 4-H JRAL since 2023. Michael is a Level 1 Pistol and Rifle Instructor in addition to being a NRA Range Safety Officer and a certified EMT. Michael has been in law enforcement for the last 13 years with the last four years being with a local town. Michael is an Eagle Scout and Ranger Scout.
Jessica Carney
Jessica has been with the program for over 15 years. She started the program as a young teen and became an Instructor at 16 and was one of the Teen Leaders. Jessica's passion for teaching comes from her dad, Dale, who run the CJRAL. Jessica is the Teen Leader Representative for the club and works closely with the Teen and Junior Leaders. Jessica is a level 1 Rifle Instructor and level 2 Archery Instructor.
Meranda Scott
Meranda has been a member of the organization as a parent for a couple of years now. She recently became a volunteer and is serving as the Assistant to the Administrator Secretary. She is a homeschool mom of 5 and a part-time school bus driver. Meranda is a Level 1 Archery Instructor.
Chris Fazzio
Chris has been a member of CJRAL for over 5 years. He is a certified level 1 Rifle Instructor (currently working on level 2 Rifle Instructor) and a level 2 Pistol Instructor. Chris is also certified through the National Rifle Association as a Range Safety Officer and Level 1 Shotgun Coach. He is also a SSSF Shotgun Coach and a volunteer Hunter Ed Instructor for the State of NH. When not volunteering with 4H, Chris is a full-time Kung Fu and self defense Instructor with over 30 years of teaching experience.
Brittany Germain
Brittany Germain is a Certified NRA Range Officer and Certified Archery Instructor with a true passion for shooting sports. She co-runs the indoor archery league at Chester Rod and Gun Club alongside her best friend, Melanie, and also served two years on the club’s Board of Directors as Recruiting Secretary. An active participant in Granite State Bowhunters 3D shoots, Brittany is dedicated to building community and helping the sport of archery continue to grow.
Dale Carney
Dale joined 4H shooting sports when his daughter Jessica was a teenager. In 2013, Dale and Jessica went to Barry Conservation Camp together to receive their Archery Instructor certifications. Dale is now the leader of the CJRAL and runs the show. He is a level 2 Archery and Rifle Instructor and a level 1 Pistol Instructor. Dale was the driving force behind the mobile archery range and is instrumental in bringing the mobile range to events all over the state of NH. Dale has made this program the biggest one in the state!
"Even though I’m ready to retire from my day job, I am not giving up 4H. We will continue encouraging kids to become responsible and caring young people. We will give them the opportunity to become young leaders. Our 4H kids are the future. It’s our job to help them find their way."
Shelia Tharp
Shelia has been with the organization for several years now. Shelia is 4H level 1 Instructor for Rifle, Pistol and Shotgun. She is affectionately referred to as "Grandma" by several of the Teen Leaders!
Dennis Crawford
Dennis Crawford is an assistant 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor at Chester JRL. Dennis is the primary instructor and leader with our companion club Pioneer Crew 556 in Dunbarton NH. Dennis has been conducting firearms training for decades. Having first been a NH Hunter Safety instructor for 25 years. Dennis was also certified as a NH Law Enforcement Firearms and Use of Force Instructor by the NH Police Academy. Dennis became the Chief Firearms Instructor and Armorer at the Sheriff’s Office where he was employed. Dennis holds numerous NRA Instructors ratings and NRA Training Counselor ratings as well as being a Chief Range Safety Officer. In addition he was trained as a Sig Sauer Academy Range Safety Officer. Dennis is a Level 1 4-H Shooting Sports Instructor in Archery, Rifle, Shotgun and Handgun. Dennis also holds Level 2 ratings for Pistol and Rifle to train new instructors.
